How to make your rib cage bigger

Everyone likes a big chest, but your cheast muscles hang off of your rib cage. Is there any special exercise to make your rib cage bigger so you will have a more pronounced chest?

If you believe Arnold then yes, cause he said doing db pullovers will expand your ribcage.

but IMO its like saying can I make my femur longer, or how can I increase the width of my radius. It can't be done

you'll be able to increase the size of rib cage the same day that you can make your fingers longer by doing wrist curls

Um I think I believe Arnie is right on this one. I also read in his book that if you do DB pullovers for a yr. your ribcage will slowly start expanding. I know he's a genetic wonder but look at his pic's over the yrs and his ribcage definitely expanded.

Dumbell pullovers right after you have accomplished a set of heavy squats--the ultimate rib cage expander

The femur does get thicker in individuals who do lots of heavy lifting.

I actually believe that you can change the shape of your rib cage slightly. I know this because when I grapple and wrestle a lot my rib cage became wider when you look at it from the anterior/posterior position. It's more dramaic during wrestling tho and I think that's because there is a lot more pressure on the rib cage than in Jiu-jitsu. I think it's a way of allowing your lungs to expand more to increase your oxygen intake and i think that it's also caused by mechanical forces being applied to it I'm sure that you can do exercises that can increase the size of it but it's probably a slow process like someone mentioned above.

It's called genetics, you're either born with a big rib cage that makes your chest stick out or you're not. Arnold was born with one, it's all bullshit that he "expanded" it.

Sure maybe it's possible but very minimal. Try taking air into your lungs as much as possible and do that for an hour every day. That should work. :insane2:
