How to minimize water retention while on Test.

AIFM used 2 times ED works for me. Adex also works well. I personally like to keep as much of the water off as I can, as it keeps me looking better.

Aromasin 25mg EOD
and/or HCTZ 25mg ED

Arimidex and letro will wreck your lipid profile.

HCTZ? Diuretics even on training days? Interesting. What are the things to look out for?
HCTZ is a very mild diuretic and has been proven safe to take for long periods of time. I'd only use it if I had significant water retention during a cycle. Personally, I use it whenever I take test b/c I retain a ton of water in my midsection with test. Plus, it has the added effect of keeping BP down which is raised significantly while on Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) for some people.

Actually I read that just recentely Diuretics and Beta Blockers have been linked to diabetes. ACE inhibitors are safer and so is calcium channel blockers.

Whoa! I'd like to see that research, Ca channel blockers have TONS of side effects. Were they specifically looking at HCTZ?

There are so many conflicting studies on this, that I'm not too sure they are much worse than aromasin on lipids. I've seen some studies that said adex and letro are the same as aromasin on lipids. Everything is dose dependant, estrogen helps lipids, just dont overdo it and you should be fine.

first question I have is - how long is your cycle going to be? have you started the cycle and started retaining water? how much water are you drinking a day? if you're doing a 10-12 week cycle - you might want to get going and see how things go before you add an anti-e.

I like extemstane myself....

Doc J.,
I take HCTZ(25mg) and Atenolol(50mg) for mild elevated B.P. and my B.P. is now between 110/70-120/80. What are the sides of HCTZ, of coarse my doc would never tell me, does it influence your lipid profile? I do know Atenolol kills your/my libido and my heart rate is that of a marathon runner at 55bpm.

How can they say this:

Compared to patients not taking a beta-blocker, older women taking beta-blockers had a 32 percent higher risk of diabetes, while for men the risk was 20 percent higher.

...and then draw this conclusion?

"Increased surveillance for diabetes in patients treated with these medications may be warranted," the authors conclude.
The use of other common types of blood pressure lowering drugs -- calcium channel blockers and ACE inhibitors - was not associated with the development of type 2 diabetes, according to the report.

Not to mention these are people taking thiazides for YEARS, not a BB on a 12 week cycle of test taking it for the duration of the cycle only.
