HRT presciption help question (in canada)

Hey everyone, new here. Thanks in advance for any insight. Great stuff so far.

I'm from the states but just got to Vancouver Canada last month and here for 7 months. My PCP (family type doc) at home put me on therapy before I left because I tested twice at 380 and 340. He gave me 1 injection and filled a prescription at the pharmacy in the building. It was for Prop POW GM, 10%/cc apply 1ml to upper body. Also said transdermal 100mg/cc in small print elsehwere. Levels haven't been re-tested yet but I for sure feel better.

My prescription was running low so I called his office to have them ship it to me as he said they would but he's resigned and they won't give me his contact info. They of course want to see me before re-filling my script, which would require a flight back and can't do it.

So I went to a clinic here, showed them what I had before and he wrote a script to put me on Androgel 1%. Which is expensive ($160/mo) and not covered by my insurance. He wrote another script exactly for the same stuff I had at home but now I can't find any place that compounds that or has anything similar.

Anyone have thoughts on what options are besides running out and waiting 6 months to start back up? I've just started researching hrt so I'm learning as much as I can. Any other suggestions to make it all even better? Side effects, things to watch out for, to do, etc. Love to hear opinions.

Thanks a lot for help.

ask about testim, better absorption, or fortesta, its a 2% gel you put on your thighs , im sure they can switch you to injections if you're able to do them

I know that some guys love transdermals, but injections are soooooooo much better. You have better control over your dose, you don't have to worry about sweating it off, and no worries about making your wife/gf more manly by having contact with her. (Not to mention young children, which I hope you don't have any if you're on a transdermal) Food for thought. :)

Good advice

Thank you guys for the response so far. My wife is back home so fortunately/unfortunately I don't have to worry about contact issues. No kids either.

why dont u try to get ahold of the clinic u went to back in the us and ask them if they can somehow fax u a copy or record of them putting you on . im sure it has to be in some files somewhere , try to get ahold of them and ask them what u will need in order to have them place u on in canada , they must be able to provide u what u need through fax and have some records , once they send the stuff to you , u work it out here . things like these are always on file , try to get ahold of your records

The office I went to won't do anything now without seeing me first, they refused to help unless I went in to see a dr. I need to find a decent and not expensive dr here that will prescribe. The dr I saw at the clinic only wrote the prescription for a month and now wants me to go back again at $155 on Tuesday to write out the script for the rest. These guys are BS. I'm going to see if I can compound myself with powder.
