Huge boil/ lump at injection site a day later, what could it be?

I have this huge lump/boil on my quad a day after injection Test. What is it?

Is it hot? red?

inflammation due to irritation most likely. Virgin muscle?

When i here boil i think of a nasty big lump with puss oozing out wich i doubt you have. Quads can be a bitch never know when you will hit a bad spot or have bad technique sounds like your just gonna be in pain for a week or so.

This could be normal. If it is burning and hot to the touch you may have an infection. Pick up some penicilin at a farm supply store, or do the smart thing and see your doctor if you believe it is an infection.

Probably what you said. Happened on my delt once. I don't know what I hit but it mad a nasty lump for a week.

Abscess would likely not present in one day. Could be inflammatory reaction to the injection or you might have hit a blood vessel and now you have a small hematoma. Try gently massaging it in the shower. and Hot compresses.

Too short a time window for an abscess to have to have formed, so its probably just injection site soreness. I used to get that (especially in my quads) when I started pinning. Give it a few days, and it should start to ease off...
