Ok, in the last 8 months I have lost 55 lbs. I am a 5'11 158lb 18 year old. Now, I lost all the weight that I need to but now I need to start building some muscle. I still have a little fat around my stomach and upper body and I need to get rid of that and put muscle in its place. Now, I know I need to change my diet around to mostly protein but what else? no carbs? I dunno about that stuff. I have this whey protein powder drink but I have never had it. Anyway, how much should I work out and what should I do. I ready want to develop a 6 pack and pecs and I know its going to be difficult. My mom has one of those ablounge things... does that work?? SO I guess my main thought would be how much should I eat and how much should I work out? How many pushups a day? Crunches? Pull Ups? thanks in advance guys for all your help.

first, you cant switch fat out for muscle. Thats not how it works. At this point you have to do one or the other. If you started out with a little fat and had never worked out before, then you would be able to do both at the same time. The Newbie Effect i guess you could say. You either have to decide if you want to get rid of that last bit of fat, or start building muscle. Or you could just do drugs and get hyoooge and ripped.

Once you decide what you want to do, check out the stickes at the top of the diet and training forums, they will answer pretty much all your questions.
