Well my doctor has been treating me for TRT since July and come to realize he has no clue..My estro is through the roof (123) out of a range of
pg/ml 40-115...I told him I new this and he said its a tad high but wait 3 months drop down your dose from 200MG to about 150-180mg a week and see where it comes back at..I now need to get an AI from the street because I cant deal with this shit ..Let alone my tits are starting to look like someone who didnt use an AI for a bit and pissing me off....I originally was with IMT and had no problems, I should have fricking stayed with them as I know how hard it is to find a doctor to treat this but I just got lucky with the first one, but he dont know how to treat the other things....sigh....

I'd love to have IMT or an "Anti-Aging" clinic treat me, but as with OP and most others, paying out of pocket is too costly especially when one has insurance that'll cover appointments/medications. In a few years I can see a (potentially) great increase in TRT knowledge among endocrinologists/specialists, but as most of us have found out, for now it's a terribly irritating (and sometimes devastating) journey.

But on topic: I just re-read and noticed your estrogen isn't too much out of "range". Now I know some of these reference ranges are complete bullshit; regardless, shouldn't you be concerned with your estradiol levels given your worries? Have you gotten this tested, or just total estrogen?

I've heard of guys having insanely high estrogen levels (much higher than yours), but having at or below normal estriadol readings. What symptoms are you experiencing that makes you worried about having high estrogen?

If you don't have your estriadol test results, either request them or follow the changes your doctor made. As I said, reference ranges aren't everything, but lowering your dose 20-50mg will surely bring within your lab's normal range (you are barely outside). Even if you are having symptoms of high E2, they could very well go away by this dosage change. A priority for me would be to get E2 tested (assuming you are having symptoms and this isn't some fear of yours taking over).

The last thing I want to see you do is start your own AI regime without your doctor's knowledge. This could easily screw up your bloodwork and you and your doc are even further from finding a proper protocol.

How much would you estimate a "few years" to be ?

I don't think he needs an AI just yet...
not with 100 mg....
I'd do two shots a week of 50 mg if I were him and that would most certainly eliminate the need for AI.

Haha, I don't really know. I can't imagine that 9/10 "specialists" will be as out of the loop as they currently are now in ~5 years. But hell, I'm dumbfounded at how uninformed they are now so maybe I'm just being optimistic :p

I was doing 200MG a week not 100...Dropping back to 150-180mg a week so about 90MG every 3 days..My levels were real low to start with about 289-300...I am now 1125 which is good for me..

I agree Medhead was thinking same thing as it wouldnt be beneficial to me to screw this up with him..."Total"estrogen was the blood work I recieved..As far as symptoms, I am just getting tired again by afternoon, the sexual drive is still there but not what it was before (I am 48 yo) starting to see issue with bitch tits a little.. my wife metioned this to me as well...So I can only assuming it is this..Other than that I am fine, in the gym 5-6 days a week and I dont look like a 48 yo so I should be happy, just want to dial this in is all..Doc said dial it back to about 150-180MG a week and see where this is in 3 months before he treats so I guess that is what I can do for now anyway..
