My goals right now are a bit mixed. I want to lift like a powerlifter, look like a body builder but have the athleticism of a an olympic lifter/athlete. I know its not really possible to do this all at once, but ive been thinking about doing periods of each im just not sure on the order.

I have about 20 weeks before i deploy and i like to be able to get a little bit of each to achieve a balanced strength base and physique. Guys like Tommy Kono did it as well as some of the earlier bodybuilders when the press was still an aspect of olympic lifting. Ive looked into Tommy Konos program and it seemed he did something similar in that he would do periods of each style to build a solid base then refine it for bodybuilding.

Does anyone have any experience on this or thoughts on the topic?

What ive got so far is to start with low rep strength work for 6 weeks, then move to medium rep range hypetrophy work then move to strength, power, speed olympic style lifting. I know there are hybrid programs to combine two but to get all 3 aspects is tough. Its mainly power bodybuilding or some type of olympic/ powerlifting program.

Thanks in advance.

I have done something similar and got decent results. I used heavy powerlifting type lifts at the start of my workouts followed by higher rep bodybuilding style stuff and 1 dedicated olympic lifting day. It was good for a sort of all round kind of strength, but I wouldnt expect to be the best at everything

Yea, I don't plan on being a world beater in either discipline. Id just like to be well rounded. I think im gonna go power bodybuilding with an oly day on a deadlift or leg day depending on what im doing for oly. I will transition to a strength and conditioning style program towards the end, which is also when ill be on winstrol so that should work well.
