I am hoping that somebody can help me out with my problem I am 5'6 and I weigh 117 I want to gain more muscle. My goal is to weigh about 125ibs. Right now I am eating about six meals a day. I am also using Isopure which has about 50 grams of protein. I just stopped using CellTech ( creatine) because it has about 75 grams of sugar which I hear sugar can cause cellulite is that true? I also workout about 4 times a week. Mondays I work out legs, and calves. Tuesday: I work out Bicep and tricep and abs. Wednesday: chest and back. Thursday: Cardio for 30 min and abs Friday I work out legs all over again. Please if anybody has any advise on what else I should do to gain more muscle I would really appreciate it.

what about shoulders? and you should do abs more often. at 5'6", 117# you sound perfect. but, as your goal is to gain "muscle", here's what you do:

eat more than you burn; and lift progressively heavier weights.

to do this, you'll need to (sorta) calculate your calorie intake, particularly protein and carbs. don't believe that all sugars/carbs are bad, either; particularly if you'll be working out harder and harder.

for protein: unless you are rich, there's little reason to spend too much money on the overly commercialized crap that's out there. it's not a better quality product than say TRUEPROTEIN.COM. get a good, filtered isolate which will hopefully be easy on your stomach. also, the obvious: drink milk, eat egg whites, and plenty of meat (steak, pork, fish, chicken, tubesteak).

studies have shown (whether right or wrong) that women are twice as inefficient at the gym than are men. in short, we isolate our muscle groups better; get in, and get out.

there's plenty of good advice on this and similar forums. stay plugged in - keep visiting us and solicit more advice. we're here to help. especially if you start out by including a photograph ahead of time (so we know where you need to improve - and trust me, we'll be honest).

hey!! sorry i didnt even see this thread until now! first, sugar doesn't necessarily cause cellulite- most of cellulite's appearance is affected by muscle tone, overall bodyfat levels and genetics. diego's right on- it all comes down to taking in more calories than you burn. keep in mind that those need to be quality calories, not empty calories. post up your diet and we'll see what we can do to adjust your intake. again, sorry i'm so late on this!

I had the same problem in the last year Ive gained 10 pounds of muscle! This is what you need to do. Stop doing cardio. Not doing cardio will maximize muscle gains. You wont get fat, dont worry! LOL! Weight train 5 days a week. Lift between 4-6 reps. Eat clean good quality bodybuilding foods. Chicken, turkey, potatoes, oatmeal, brown rice and steak, once in a while. Dont worry doing 4-6 reps wont make you bulk up. Girls new to bodybuilding think that. After one year if you train hard AND TAKE YOUR SETS TO FAILURE! you too can put on your 10 lbs of muscle. 1.5 grams protien min per pound of bodtweight. good luck!

cellulite is from too much fat and no mucsle. Athletes and bodybuilders/weightlifters rarley have cellulite because they have muscle! I had a some before I started weight training its all gone now.
