I'm new to creatine

I used a creatine system that is simular to cell tech's and i want to know if you have to take whey protien with it to gain muscle cause I do gain alot of strenghth from it but it seems like i just gain water and fat. I'm 17 5'6.5 and 163 pounds i used it for 3 weeks but all i did was gain fat and water i was 171pounds after taking it and 2 weeks later i lost it and was 163 pounds but i was 166 pounds before i started taking it.

I am an ectomorph and have cycled creatine in 3 month durations for about 6 years now. I have had nothin but great results, creatine has helped me break strength barriers. I used to get a tiny creatine gut, that problem has susided over the years. Keep at it, and eat lots. Good luck.

You are gaining fat because the Cell Tech delivery is nothing but sugar. There are way better options out there. Look into NOZ, Kreataine, Swole V2. As far as protein try to get 1.5-2 grams a day. What you dont get from food use a powder as a supplement.

Unfortunately, some of your gains in strength will disappear after you stop taking creatine. This is inevitable and will take about one month. This is the time it takes for your muscle creatine levels to return to normal. However, since creatine supplementation allows one to exercise harder, which is the best stimulus for muscle growth, some gains in strength may persist after stopping creatine. In support of this notion, biochemical indicators of protein synthesis increase in response to creatine use, possibly indicating more muscle proteins are being produced.

Maybe. Have you figured out yet that we never give a straight answer? The fact is that people have not been supplementing with creatine long enough to know if cycling is required. My feeling is "better safe than sorry." You have nothing to lose by cycling and a few years from now you may find out that it was a good idea. It is always good to give your body a rest from any supplement. I find that a 2 month on and 1 month off cycle has worked for us

When im "off" Creatine I dont get weaker. The thing is i dont think u need to cykle creatine, it aint harmfull to the body to take it. So nowadays i dont cykle. And i use the good stuff not the fake.
If u think u should "rest" the body from supplements, do u think ppl should rest from protein or vitamins?? HELL NO

What is this "fake" creatine you speak of?

Yeah I've been off creatine for 3 weeks after my first "cycle" and didn't get "weaker". But I really get tired more easily. I can't work out as long or as hard. I did seem to gain MORE weight after getting fo creatine. That was a surprise, I figured all the weight I orignally gained from it was just water, and would be lost after I stopped taking it.

Have to say I can't wait untill the end of the month when I start taking creatine again. Supposidly the receptors in my system will be more effective as I get further into my cycles... I kinda doubt that, but here's hoping!

Well, when using Creatine, you most certainly will put on water weight. The premixed creatine cocktails do have a lot of sugar in them but your body should utilize it if you are taking it at the correct time. Are you taking it post workout?
Also, I'm interested in knowing what your current diet is like.
Are you taking in enough protein in the day through your actual food?
If not, then I would most definitely suggest some sort of whey protein as a supplement.:)

the container didnt say when to take it but i read about cell tech and it has a very similar system so took it after working out part way through the 3 week cycle
