here is a simple question ....ive heard so many storys i just want to get the true fact.. is creatine bad for you in any way , short term or how about long term...

There is little, credible research that indicates creatine will have any long-term detrimental effect on healthy users.

Mind sharing? :goof:
I thought there would be 0 sides. Bah...............................

There are some researchers that claim high kidney stress, but this is based on dubious information/research. It is an extremely safe supplement to use.

it's a good prop. when friends come over and look at my supps cabinet, they see creatine. "oh, wow, dude...that helps get you all big like that?" "yep, i'm just taking creatine and protein, nothing else."

i can't stand creatine. garbage, imho.

anything in excess is going to be bad for your health. too much creatine over a long period of time that doesnt get excreated in urine gets turned into creatinine, which is toxic to cells.keep in mind that this is in excess and rare that that you would not piss it out first.

creatine tends to form into crystaloids that can stress your kidneys..so the one good thing to do when taking in creatine is to drink tons of water! and it also helps your muscles absorb the creatine better..

The stress it places on the kidneys for prolonged period of time can cause an increase in BP. Drink a lot of water, and do it in cycles 6 on 6 off.

I just started taking cee at 6 grams a day. My weight gainer also has 3 grams of mono per serving which I'm taking 3 times a day. Is this to much creatine to take daily?

6g cee+ 9g mono

By the way I am 23 and weigh 175 if it matters

I've been using creatine since EAS first started pimping it back in 1994. I have my bloodwork done every year and have always had a clean bill of health. I also drink over a gallon of H2O every day.

its a waste. use what u need.excess isnt necessary

So how much do I need. I'm not taking that much because I think it will help, its just already mixed in the weight gainer. I'm taking the cee because of how much better I've read it is. Should I find something without the mono or should I just leave it alone and make sure I get enough water?

I eat a pretty lean high protein diet, mostly chicken and tuna. I don't eat real fatty or sugary foods very often. I eat five or six times a day but I know I'm not getting the calories I need to put on weight thus the weight gainer. I've gained about 15 lean pounds over the past few weeks. Does that answer your question or do you want more detail. It varies quite a bit. Depends on how much time I have to mess with meals.

Should be consistant, eat more of everything if your not gaining wieght just try to keep it clean.

Whats your size and body fat?

I'm 5'10, 178, 7%BF last time I got it done but I was 165 then. I'm sure its gone up too but I don't think very much. Like I said I gained around 15lbs in a few weeks so I've obviously changed how I've been eating. I try and eat around 500 cals per meal on top of any weight gainer.

keep eating, sounds like you stay lean- throw in a fast food meal or two. I think wieght gainer is a waste of money. The time you waste with it you could just eat more.
