the recomended doses range from 1,500 and 2,400 milligrams (mg) a day. so there is no need to try very hard to get sodium in. also alot of processed foods are already high in sodium so if you eat that then you would probably more than have covered your needs.
I think eating regular american meals ends out giving you too much sodium (salt). And it is bad for you. I don't think one has to ever worry about not getting enough. A lot of foods you will see now say low sodium on them.
a always you have to use your head... if you eat chilli once in a while it doesn´t do you any harm.. however if you start eating it 5 times a day its another story...
