Is sparkling water bad for you?

WEB11

???????????
Simple question here, I drink 1-2 cans of sparkling water (carbonated water) a day. Is that stuff bad for you in any way? I quit drinking sodas and juice and that is the only thing that I have been drinking other than spring water and soy milk (except for cheat days).

Except for the fact that it tends to make you feel gassy, actually some sparkling waters are higher in mineral content and are very good for you. I am Italian and we always have sparkling water with every meal.

well..in a sense it is bad for you...any bottled water is except for a couple because they contain little to no Fluoride in them and fluoride is an anticavity solution. Most tap water has Fluoride in it so if you should make sure to take drinks of tap water as well.

fluoride is horrible for your health. It is a known carcinogen and has never been proven to have any effect on cavities. Why is the US the only, or one of the only countries with flouride in their drinking water?

it has chlorine in it, not flouride. Its at 2 ppm to ensure that even if you pipes arent the best you wont be harmed from the water.

Dasani and Aquafina are the only two good bottled water. Bottled water is held to less standards then the water that comes from your taps in america.

If its a know carcinogen...why does the FDA approve it in all toothpastes. I am a first year dental student and have seen many published journals on Fluoride that show its effectiveness on cavities. Excess fluoride can cause fluorosis which is mottled looking teeth..but you have to take in a shit load for that to happen. I can pull out links that say is Fluoride is good for your teeth, but if you believe its a carcinogen...stop using your colgates and crests.

there is no "if", it is a carcinogen. and i actually am going to stop using colgates and crests in favor of a baking soda and h202 paste. And in case you havent notcied, the FDA has their financial interests in mind, not your health.

are you referring to americas tap water? if so, try again.
yes, there is chlorine in our drinking water as well, which produces its own by-products when combined with organic materials that accumulate in organs like the kidneys or bladder and results in an increased risk of cancer.

le bleu is good water as well, it is treated with ozone and is steam distilled, which will kill 99.9% of germs, and is sodium free.

Whatever you say bud. Stop watching so many movies- while some areas have not so great water, its because of outside pollutants that are slowly being cleaned out.
