I personally do not like doing bent over barbell rows after dead lifts, i like doing bent over dumbell better, little less stress on the low back. Chins fit in there real nice though.
In all actuality, deadlifts and chins make a great back workout just the two of them if going heavy and with good intensity.
it seems like every time i do heavy deads (405+) my fucking lower back gets hurt. i think im using good form? but i must not be if that happens. i wear a lifting belt when going that heavy also. and 405 i can rep up to 10 times, so its not like its 1 heavy ass rep that im hurting my back on, its not quite that heavy to me.
no i havent dont sumo deads. and the pain will be the very bottom of my back, just about the butt, on the left side. im not sure how to describe the pain besides a stabbing pain. and i mostly feel it when getting up or sitting down. or if i stretch my left hamstring good i feel it.
i dont feel it when walking, its not cripling me, but if i were to sit down and stretch my left ham, i would feel it. my right ham i just feel normal. the only pain i feel is isolated just to a sharp pain right there in my low back, no where else.
Juicer try dropping your reps down to no more than 5 or 6. Dead lifts are not a high rep exercise for various reasons. Make sure to get your ass down low for the start and lift off the heals always weight going through heals. Look up at corner of ceiling keeping chest out and never let any part of spine round or bend forward if you cant stay in lordosis (hyper extended) need to drop weight
3 sets of each exercise. Go heavy on deads with reps between 2-6. All other exercises I keep the rep range between 8-10. I usually do seated rows as well to finish my back routine so I do 12 sets in all.
