When putting together boards for board presses, using 2x6's, do you make sets using 2 board, 3 boards and 4 boards? More?

yes make yourself a set of 2 through 4 boards

im assuming right now you are a raw bencher? i would concentrate mostly on the 2 board and 3 board..dont use te 4 or higheer for max type of work but it is fine to do as a secondary tricep move for reps of 5 or greater

Unless you are exceptionally tall, you probably don't need a three board. Personally if i were not using a shirt i would not use any boards, but that is me. I have seen a few guys on the message boards wonder why thier raw bench plummeted when they started westside, boards is the main reason. If you want to use boards you could use a two boards as second exercise on DE day, that is probably how i would work them in if i had to.

I agree..but also depends how your training is set up..

if you are doing reg benches up to a max triple
you could use a second bench days with lower boards and a close grip to hit more tris etc..still would prolly be a rough rotuine if youre pressing heavy twice/week

I went up to 6 board, but when tucking my shoulder blades honestly its too much. I wouldn't go more than 4 or 5 board.

I threw away my 6.
