Kai Greene / Phil Heath fight on stage mr Olympia 2014

There is absolutely no reason kai shouldn't get 1rst this year. He came conditioned better then phil. His abs are simply amazing.

I've never really had much interest in competitive bodybuilding, even though I've competed myself and loved the experience. However, I'm hoping Kai takes it. I think he deserves it. In my opinion, he's very humble and makes time for a lot of people. I just don't want to be there for his thanking speech. It will run longer than the Olympia event itself.

Ive followed professional bodybuilding for a long time. I do really like both Phil and Kai, awesome bodybuilders and great people too, two good guys for the sport. I personally, honestly dont think Kai could beat Phil even if they both came in at 100%. Phil has all around better symmetry, fuller, rounder muscle bellies better insertions and he is so streamlined. Hes the whole package from top to bottom. I also think he bring a tad bit of that old school aesthetic polished look to the stage. But you never know, anything could happen, guys have won that shouldnt have before.

Kai does look good here though but not good enough to beat Phil IMO.

I'm surprised anyone falls for this stuff. It's fairly clear that's it's staged to build up "hype" for the show as well as future shows. Basically building the "rivalry" between Kai and Phil, much the same as the "rivalry" between Arnold and Lou.

Think about it for a second. When it first happened it became the big thing everyone talked about. Then all of a sudden it keeps happening. It's clear from the smile on Kai's face that he isn't upset. It's no different than the "hype" they try to start at that weak press conference. The hosts clearly try to stir the pot, (more so in the previous Olympias), when a competitor wouldn't respond with enough shit talking, the host would egg it on. Now days you hear more of the noise talking. No different then when they tried the failed attempt at incorporating the "WWE" stuff into the show and brought out host such as triple A or whatever his name was.

Fake hype is no hype at all for me. Other than wanting certain guys I follow to place very well, I don't get turnt up over the so called "drama.:noway:"

And while I ranting (separate post separate rant). How many times do I have to instruct grown men to spread out. I don't care about the excuse or the reason, just move. I don't care that you want to step over the line......don't. I don't care that you want to be close to whoever.......move. Geez. A judge shouldn't have to say it a million times.

It's like telling a bunch of kids to get into a single line, and nobody moves, or for the life of them they can't make it work.

....*sigh* and Roelly for crying out loud really? He was one I was hoping would come dialed in. Cheering for Kai but to be honest I don't see him taking it all. De La Rosa, I hope he grows and becomes a force. He did so many shows leading up to the Olympia I knew it was no way he was coming in as strong as I wished for him. But yea I see another Phil, Kai, line up with either Shawn (spelling?) or Wolf in third then fourth.

It'as a close call for sure... I've never seen Kai in such great condition... and as for aesthetics... you can tell Kai has addressed his weaknesses and brought a more well-rounded physique this year...

I'm not sure the judges will see it this way, as Phil will always be the 'safe' option for the sport... but I really think (on this footage) that Kai has pipped Phil this year... those lats and quads are out of this world... and conditioning is bang on!

^^^ agreed

kai looks better imo , but in the sport (politics and public relations) are more important than physique sometimes

That's actually a good video you posted Stauched. That hair flip is another good example. Kai had already grabbed his hair as he was going to flip it back for the next pose. It was clear he had no intention of hitting Phil but so many people made it seem like he did it on purpose to "hit" Phil. It's also clear in the video that Phil is pretty much standing on top of Kai to the point where Kai has no room to pose. Kai would have needed to keep getting closer to Wolf in order to pose. The spacing is blatantly obvious. It's not a "pose down" round so it's no need to get on top of each other. The judge says spread out and the only thing that happens is he gets closer to the point at about 1:32-1:34 the touch was going to happen.

If it wasn't staged then I would say Phil got a lot less of what he deserved. I dunno it's just shameful to watch either way you cut it (for me). If it's not staged then all I see is grown men who can't follow simple rules and stand apart no matter how many times they are told to move, or I see a staged event to bring hype on par with what happened last year.

I want to say there are at least 3 different incidents at different shows but I can't find the third. You have the ACE here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fxp-Xw4Eqf0

and I thought it happened some where else, and then of course this years O. So that's what I meant by it keeps happening. Exact same thing happens between them. That's why I'm extremely skeptical. Can't find the third video so might be wrong on the number of times I seen it.

Yes it does make you wonder if it is hype... But I think what really happened is that is wasn't staged hype (it's a possibility though) but rather the judges have a lot to do with it putting Kai and Phil right next to each other.

They were putting a match to gas, you can't blame Kai or Phil, if anyone is to blame it is the judges. It was bound to happen.

Even if it's fake , I'm sure those 2 guys doesn't really like each other.. Competition between them will always exist as long as they step on the stage together..

It would be good if Kai did win next year, if they are in this for entertainment I'm sure it will stir up a fuzz at the priceless cost of Heath thinking he will win for the 4th time when Kai cleans him up.
