I am Omkar from India .
I was trying to achieve ketosis through Insulin .( According to what i read somewhere )
1) 2 iu fast acting insulin ( i used novo rapid) every 3 hours
2) total of four shots a day
3) and you would be in ketosis the next day
What i experienced was that my keto stix didn't turned its colour.
Wanted to know whether this thing works or not?
Another question is does Whey protein throws you out of ketosis ???
I mean even if its low carb , do the amino acids get converted into glucose ???
I wanted to keep my protein intake 1gm/ lb of bodyweight , but in that case i would exceed the amount of protein intake needed for ketosis ( 30% they say).
Is there any thing that can put me in ketosis fast ( workout , steroids??? )
Also do you still burn fat when you are not actually in ketosis but are on very low carb( >60gm a day). ?
I also tried metformin , but it didnt put me in ketosis in 1 day !!!
