Know any good shakes???

"Who is your Daddy and what does he do?"
Hey, anyone have any good Shakes (Doesnt have to be protein powder and other things, just stuff you'd stick in a blender and make it that way)? Shakes for putting on mass, shakes for getting "cut"? Or just shakes that taste damn good?

I made up this one which i think is alright...

Half a cup of Strawberrys
Half a cup of Blueberrys
Half a cup of Raspberrys
A cup of juice (I use Tropicana's Orange Strawberry Banana Juice)
A cup of Yogurt (your choice)

and blend it up until it's all liquid. Obviously the more juice you put in the less thick it'll be. It makes a nice serving and it tastes good.
 
my favs gotta be Sportlabs chocolate whey with tons of crushed ice, water and natty pb. MMMMmmm
sometimes Ill throw in chilled decaf coffee rather than the water to make it more like a mochoa flavour!
 
Adding ice to any shake makes it nicer. For bulking post workout throw in Ice cream (it's really a shake then) and some bananas.

ugh!! no ice cream in that post workout shake..ever!!! its loaded with fat, which will slow down the rate of absorption post workout.. just whey protein and dextrose post workout for optimal transportation to muscle cells. no fats! :eek:

yea..eat the ice cream before you workout :)...In fact I always walk in the gym with a big scoop of ice cream on a cone and eat it as I warm up on a cardio machine.

by natty pb... do you mean peanut Butter???

And question for everyone... do you find that having a protein shake with water is better then milk? (also for taste, does it taste alright?)

I mean good ol natural peanut butter(just peanuts, no addtives) Yummyy!! I hate the processed kinds, taste to fake.

I ALWAYS mix my shakes with water.. and still enjoy them yes. :)

So you put all that in a blender and grind it up then drink it??? And it honestly tastes good???

haha i'm sorry... i just really really find it weird,,, i guess it's because i've NEVER heard of anyone doing anything like that before... peanuts with ice, protein powder and water....... i guess i'll MAYBE have to POSSIBLY try it sometime and see what it's all about.

How's training for that comp. going anyway?

trainings going great. wasnt feeling well last couple of days but still trained :eek: (I know I know.. hehe)

Oh other people have had this "shake" before too?

and right on,,, yeah seems like there's something going around, some sort of flu, hopefully you don't get it too bad.

2 scoops vannila whey,milk, oat bran, frozen blueberries. yum
or,
van. whey, milk, ice, PB, banna, oatbran. wicked yum.
and,
van whey, blueberries, milk, oatbran, PB, bannas, insanely good.
 
Yet again with peanut butter in a shake?? what the hell is wrong with this world... i've never heard of it until i came on here.... i guess i'll try it sometime..

I add a banana in there too! Choc. whey, natty peanut butter, crushed ice,water and a banana equals:yumyum:
I, too, do the chocolate whey with chilled coffee(but I like the CAFFEINE)
and crushed ice. Gives me a nice little kickstart in the morning.

does natty peanut butter mean Natural Peanut butter???? or is Natty some sort of brand or kind of peanut butter??
