I posted this in the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) section with no luck so decided to post here

So to make it short and sweet I been on and off testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) androgel 2 years (had insurance issues)

My levels 2 years ago were 150ng something. Doc put me on 5 mg of andro gel every day and my test came back lower did 10 mg a day and it brought it up to 600ng I believe. After having test level checked 3 moths after that I was to be tested on a 6 month basis. This all happened in 2011 2012 ish

Fat forward to January of 2013 I did a test cycle 500mgfor 14 weeks. 2 shots a week. Used a Aromatase inhibitor (AI) also.

Approximately April I ended my cycle and broke the hell out on y back. So I said fuck it I'm not gonna take anything when to dermotologist and got some meds for the acne and barely worked out I wanted the acne to clear.

2 weeks ago I hopped back on the androgel.... I took 3 angrol packets a day (15mg) to jump start it for a for a week and just las week I went down to my prescribed dose 10mg a day.

Here's the surprise. I wanted to change to injections because I forgot how annoying the androgel can be. I go get blood work done from my doctor and my levels are at 1194ng!! And I believe 134 of free test! Again my last injection was in April and I only did two weeks of androgel.

I only did one cycle ever

Question is why are y levels so high?

My possible answers to this question is.
Did I really have low testosterone to begin with?

When I first got on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I was drinking a little more than I do now.. I wan to say 9-12 servings a week vs 6-8 servings a week now.

Was the test he took inaccurate?

Did the cycle jump start my testosterone????

Any answers will be great and it was test cyp I used when I cycled. I didn't use hcg or anything else but a ai.

The cycle itself wouldn't kickstart anything but sometimes the recovery can come back strong than before.
What was your post cycle therapy (pct)? If your levels were previously messed up then it's sometimes possible that simply doing a PCT cycle can fix it in the long term.

Hmmmm.

You took 1.5x the prescribed dose for a week and wonder why you popped high? What do you think was in those packets? Pretty sure we can call this case solved. ;)

I understand what your saying about taking more than prescribe but coming from a level of 150 to 600 on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) on 2 packets but jumping it up to 1149? That doesn't add up to me.

I had clomid and was gonna do a pct until I did some research and learned that it was a split on if someone on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) needed to do a pct or just hop back on the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) so I didn't.

A couple things could cause this. As Halfwit said, you were at 1.5 times your dose. You would have still had levels elevated above your norm even though you cut back for a week.

Another factor is also when you applied the gel, in relation to the testing. You will have much higher levels a few hours after appication than you will 15 - 20+ hours later.

And no... the test cycle did not jump start anything, just the opposite actually. You also would not have elevated levels due to a cycle that ended months ago.

Hmmmm that makes sense. I would have applied it 3 hours before my blood test.
