Latest Blood Work: Need some help!

Hello All,

I started seeing my new TRT doctor a month ago, on Monday of this week my doctor wanted to do a complete blood panel, he wanted to test everything!

I got a call today from the nurse telling me that some of my levels came back too far out of range and I needed to come in to see the doctor ASAP to discuss. The main concern of the doctor is that the results show that I have "high kidney function". I do not know what that means or which test results show that, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am only showing the test results for the values that were abnormal, I know the TT is on the high side but my doctor wanted to see what my TT was the morning after a injection, I am getting a trough test done in the morning.

Test Results:

High kidney function means your kidneys are working too hard, but you probably know that. Your T is high and your free T is even higher - I'm experiencing that too and I think its because SHBG levels fall on TRT, especially on higher doses.

I didn't think that testosterone put much stress on the kidneys. Are you on a lot of other meds?

Looks like your doc ordered up some pretty thorough tests, that is good. See what he says and keep us posted.

I thought testosterone was metabolized by the liver. I doubt test is affecting your kidneys.

What is going on with your CRP? 21 is a really high number. Have you had a heart attack recently? Had surgery or have some other inflammatory disease?

I didn't see your metbolic profile - just urine results. Can you post that so we can see your kidney results?

I take lisinopril for blood pressure. It is known you raise creatinine values and lower EGFR. Are you taking any medications that may skew your kidney blood work results?

Jezus....
1322 TT & off the charts Free T.
Is this E7D injects?
What's your Estradiol level with SHBG ?

I am not sure about a ********* profile, I look at the tests that were normal and see. I am having an issue with some inflamed tendons and just started taking meds for it but after the blood work was done. I have not had ant heart issues at all and my blood pressure is 120 over 79. I will check the other tests now.

My blood test was done 12 hours after my T shot, I inject every 3.5 days. E2 is 55, my doc likes it there so it is not a concern for him .

Post all of your blood work. Not just snippets. And include all the medications you are on and ailments you have.

The results are posted on my doctors website for me to view, I posted each page as it looks to me, I did find one page I forgot to post. The only meds I am taking are Test C 200 mg a week split between two injections 3.5 days apart. Anastrozole 1 MG tablet Orally once a week, and Diclofenac Sodium 75 MG 1 tablet Orally twice a day with food 30 day(s) (I just started taking this for tendinitis after blood work was done).

Your creatinine and egfr numbers are good. Those are the ones that measure kidney function. I know your urinalysis numbers were out of range so that must be what he is looking at. But I don't know if that trumps blood work results.

Again, the scariest thing I saw in your lab work is your CRP. Technically, tendinitis is not inflammation so I wouldn't think that is causing it. The high CRP indicates that you may be at risk of having a heart attack. Do some reading up on the CRP blood test.

I am taking 100mg every 3.5 days and 300 IU's of HCG every 3.5 days as well. My doctor says he doesn't have a problem with my level since it was a peek reading (12 hours after an injection). He likes a balance between your numbers and how you feel, and I feel amazing! He dis ask that I cut back to 80 mg every 3.5 days just to see how I feel on that dosage and see what my numbers say.

Well I went in to see my doctor on Thursday morning and I found out that I have a kidney infection which he feels is what was causing my high kidney function results. He gave me a prescription for antibiotics and said that it should clear up quickly and it has, I guess I lived with discomfort for so long that I really didn't realize that anything was wrong, but after starting the antibiotics I was able to feel a difference right away. My doctor also thinks there is a small chance that the kidney infection could be the cause of the high CRP results but to be safe I am scheduled for more intensive testing later this week. My doctor is also concerned with my high tolerance to insulin which showed up in one of the tests, he said it could mean that I am on the verge of becoming diabetic which is not surprising, I am a big man and diabetes runs in my family, my mother died from complications from diabetes, my grandmother had diabetes, I have several aunts that have diabetes and my younger sister was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I am doing a sensitivity test this week as well, all together I am in for over 6 hours of testing on Thursday.

It is funny, I switched to my new doctor because I wanted to be able to self inject my test instead of having to go in every week to get my injection but I have found that my new doctor is amazing, he really is dedicated to treating a persons total health and not just pushing a script for test. He is pretty confident that regardless of what the test results show I can get my health back on track and live a long healthy life and I am very confident in him!
