Question i have read that your suposed to eat every 2.5 hours no less than 2 hours no more then 3 hours.. this is what my diet is going to look like this spring . im trying to add lean mass

Meal 1:
8 Egg Whites, 1 Scoop Of whey Protein, 1 cup oatmeal

Meal 2: Pro/Fat
Lean Ground Beef, green veggies

Meal 3:
Chicken Breast, 1 and a half cup Brown Rice

Meal 4:
2 Cans of Tuna, Veggies. 1 Scoop Of whey Protein

Workout

Meal 5:
2 Scoops whey Protein / 80g of Dextrose

Meal 6:
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, ½ cup Brown Rice, veggies

Meal 7:
Lean Protein of your choice, chicken, steak ,egg whites,

Meal 8: Before Bed
3 Scoops of whey Protein, 1.5 Tbsp. Flax Seed Oil

8 meals is unecesary unless you just want to waste all your time cooking and eating. Id eat 4-6 meals tops.

as for the portions, i have no clue as to whether you are a 100 pound girl or a 300 pound man, so the portions you provided are completely worthless. Everything looks fine, but have a big serving of complex carbs like oatmeal or brown rice with meal 4.

and dont worry about how much time you have between meals. whey alone takes about an hour to reach peak concentration in your bloodstream...assuming youre eating whole food meals, it will be much much longer. No need to eat every 2 hours. Just get the calories spread over 4-6 meals.

Meal 1: 8:30am
8 Egg Whites, 1 Scoop Of whey Protein, 1 cup oatmeal

Meal 2: 11:00am
Lean Ground Beef, green veggies, Almonds,

Meal 3: 1:30pm
Chicken Breast, 1 and a half cup Brown Rice Flax Seed Oil

Meal 4: 4:00pm
2 Cans of Tuna, Veggies. 1 Scoop Of whey Protein

Workout 6:00pm

Meal 5: After workout
2 Scoops whey Protein / 80g of Dextrose

Meal 6: 8:30
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, ½ cup Brown Rice, veggies

Meal 7: Before Bed
3 Scoops of whey Protein, 1.5 Tbsp. Flax Seed Oil

no need for full fat mayo. it wont kill you, but theres better fat sources...although plain tuna is pretty gross...i just suck it up and eat it straight outta the can.

and im telling you man, carbs pre workout.

so u want all your carbs before workout.. what could i use instead of mayo?

I agree w/ carbs before workout. If I don't carb up before my workout I usually get a shitty workout. Choices for me, obviously the 3 main carbs, but also a sandwhich or 2 on grain bread, cereal (grape nuts or shredded wheat, etc, not sugary kids cereal) or some fruit. Those work for me.

For the mayo w/ your tuna, you could use light ranch or what I use now Kraft makes a low fat mayo thats good, I use that.

Post workout you want some slow gi carbs such as oatmeal, brown rice, or sweet potatoes.

you dont want ALL your carbs pre workout...your diet is fine, like i said, just switch meal 3 and meal 4.

you can use mayo if you want but it doesnt really offer any nutrional value, and its probably all saturated fat if i had to guess. Id go with olive oil, fish oil, flax oil, almonds, almond butter, natural peanut butter, walnuts, etc.

alrihgt man sounds like a good idea.. should i be eating whole food last meal before bed. or a shake?
doesnt matter, but a good rule of thumb assuming both are viable options...real food > shakes
