Did bench day before yesterday, top of left wrist is sore, do I use hot or cold to help heal ???

Sure, ice it and heat it. Get some wrists wraps if it keeps occuring or try changing your grip on the bar.

You might be gripping the bar too tightly when you bench, loosen up your grip a bit it should keep this from happening. In the meantime--ice is a good treatment to minimize swelling.

I was under the assumption I need to grip the bard and pretend Im pulling it apart to activate the bicep muscles to help lift as much weight as possible by recruiting every fucking muscle cell I could in the effort....Is that not correct ???

No gripping the bar too tightly can result in terrible tendonitis. I had this problem until I started using a looser grip. My bench went up dramatically once my tendonitis healed.

exactly. there are different opinions on this and much depends on your goals. for me, to avoid wrist problems: rotate your elbows back a few inches; this helps position your wrists properly under the bar; then rest the weight of the bar on top of the lowest part of your hand/palm...again, i don't recommend gripping the bar, just resting the weight basically above the wrist (as if i didn't even have hands, just stubby wrists).

Wrist wraps rule. I tried the glove/strap combo, the gloves are way too big and I need to wrap my hand around the bar without shit in the way. The only exception is me using straps (bitch if you want I'll keep using them).

First time I wanted wraps that was all the place had (Max Muscle), so eventually I had to order mine online. Those gloves were SHIT.
