Leg Press

Guys,
I know this is way off topic, but my friend and I are interested in how much people can leg press for a full set (8 reps min)..We tried to find it on the web, but there isnt much to see for overall poundage pressed for a full set. THe reason for this, is because he and I can pretty well do 1080 lbs on the press for 8 reps... We are interested how much others can press...
Dont ask why we are interested...i think its more of an ego thing on our behalf...
Please let me know how much you guys can press...

Thanks

damn thats alot of pounds. i thought i was bad ass at a mild 800 lbs. guess not. i dont work my wheels as much as i would like to cuz i got bad knees and ankles. but your press is very impressive. u should film an mpeg.

also matters alot on the range of motion. i see some fucks in the gym load it up and the sled moves 6 inches!! touch your knees to your ears, and thats a real rep!!
oh 1200 to answer the ?? and this is after 4 sets of ass to the grass squats~

They need to take all the leg press machines, pile them up, melt them down, and make free weights out of them.

I don't do leg press, so I guess I can leg press 0 lbs.

Man I'm really a dick today, lol. Nothing personal.

It also depend on the angle of the leg press machine. Sonis9 also hit a good point, how much ROM r u using. I go too my chest and press back up.
In the gym:
750*8
RBSS weight room:
630*8

Yeah bro but it can be quite challenging moving like 1500 pounds 6 inches... more so than moving 750 pounds 12 inches IMO.. static training always worked for me just going gym once a month didnt, I like to organize my own training programs :D

It also depends on the machine. I've noticed a substantial difference (200+ pounds) in the amounts of weight I can use on different machines.

Yep leg press is hard to gauge on different machines. The angle, weight of sled, and lubrication can make a signifigant difference.

As for going knees to ears..thats not me. Leg presses aren't made for that much ROM. Typically once your heels start to pull off the sled you need to go back up.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. On the leg press machine (old, not lubed or tracked very well) I maxed like 450x8. However, on the leg press machine out here at TCU (NICE Nautilus machine) I can do almost twice that.
