liver test results off

Username 1, No not the night before. Two days before and a number of different parties during the preceeding weeks (damn holiday cheer).

Your Dr should be able to write a script to have blood drawn and destroyed to being down Red blood cell count.

Thans I will try that. So it should be drawn every two months regardless of how much test you are doing? Is it hemoblobin that gets elevated?

Has to be something in the training or protocol bro. I had normal liver values starting out. 10 Weeks in Mine are:
AST 63 (0-40)
ALT 88 (0-55)
These are not that high however:

Mild elevation is usually considered less than 5 times your upper enzyme ranges, but you should still get them in range so they are not chronic. You may want to abstain from all common meds (advil, etc) and training for a few days, drink lots of fluids and get re-tested.

What orally administered drugs are you taking? Arimidex may have <5% incidence of elevated liver values. Danazol also has some noted liver effects, although not very readily available.

"Because danazol is metabolized by the liver, it cannot be used by patients with liver disease, and in patients receiving long-term therapy, liver function must be monitored on a periodic basis." Although the common dosage of danazol in popular medicine is around 8x what is usually seen in TRT.

From WebMD: "Mild to moderate elevations of the liver enzymes are common. They are often unexpectedly encountered on routine blood screening tests in otherwise healthy individuals. The AST and ALT levels in such cases are usually between twice the upper limits of normal and several hundred units/liter."

A good supplement for liver health is Now liver Detoxifier & regnerator, and costs only about $7.

Yes that's what gets up. They will test your RBC count when you donate so that will help you know how often to donate.

Good info. Id still worry if they are high end, high end is closer to "bad" then mid range. Maybe test levels are too high? Anyone know what testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) (or what in it Aromatase inhibitor (AI), test or hcg) would make liver values go up?

The common accepted view, as I understand it, is that elevated liver enzymes are somewhat natural when dealing with compounds designed to survive the liver, ie alkylated/certain injectable esters. Because the enzymes are elevated does not actually indicate DAMAGE. In fact study seems to demonstrate athletes using these compounds return to normal values, and have functional livers. The enzymes are just an indication of the process going on with these compounds and their purpose in bypassing the liver (*Int J Sports Med 1996 Aug;17(6):429-33, Body composition, cardiovascular risk factors and liver function in long-term androgenic-anabolic steroids using bodybuilders three months after drug withdrawal. Hartgens F, Kuipers H, Wijnen JA, Keizer HA.

However, it is still not a bad idea to use a liver health product, and avoid alcohol, so as not to burden the liver.
