Many AAS users are worried about liver toxicity when doing orals - Ive started another thread else where on this site posting a study that undermines the perception of liver toxicity and the use of oral steroids- however thats another story.
This one is more suited for people who are worried or wish to minimize the negative impact that oral steroids might have on their liver health:
One of my work colleagues has a mother who sufffers from severe joint pain from rheumatism. As a consequence she has to eat great amounts of medicine including pain killers all administered orally and made to pass through the liver.
Her doctor monitors her liver numbers closely through proper blood work(Her doctor is at the same time her cousin and has a special degree in pharmachology). and a year ago he told her that her liver was too stressed to continue the medication. It simply was about to give up.
So her son went on the internet and he found out that if you take the juice of 1 lemon and 4 tablespoons of virgin extra olive oil and mix it up and drink it every other day it should be able to diminish the liver toxicity of her medication without minimizing the beneficial effects of the medicine especially the pain medicine.
She tried this approach and the next time she had her liver work done her numbers were back to normal and at the same time she felt no reduced effect of the medicine- especially the pain killers.
To this day she continues the lemon cure and still her liver is fine.
My theory is that the mix of lemon and olive oil makes up a kind of gel that absorbs the toxins of the medicine or some how cleanses the liver.
