I'd just want a box to put it in, so I would know its safe somewhere not getting crushed or thrown around, best way to stash your gear would be to make a stash container. I would put this in the safe though, but make a stash just to know your gear has some extra cushion. Just buy one of the really big RedBull/Monster cans and do this:

not those walmart safes....you drop that sucker on its corner, and its done with. trust me, i've done it before. If you go to walmart, pay a little extra for the step above the little gray/beige one. those are a little better.
