Long term health risks of trt?

I agree. I wouldn't t have done testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) if I was at 600 natty. That's right where you should be for natty T.

I went into a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic with 594 ng/dl T.T. and Doc said it was not the level of a 25 year old...a few months before I was 663 ng/dl T.T. on some blood work.
Right before the appointment with him I had blood work again and it was 507 ng/dl....but he didn't have a hold of that blood work.
He had a hold of the 594 ng/dl copy....and my BIO T was 8.6 nmol/L (range:2.5-16 nmol/L) I think that was done a little late too....was 9:30 AM when I did it. I should have done it at 8:30 AM
I only cycled once....did some Nolva for PCT and used HCG toward end of cycle....waited a year and I was hovering around 500 + ng/dl
Problem was I had very severe sleep apnea and never knew it....

starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) with a 560 natty test level is retarded.. wow

Yeah...but the thing is you don't realize how much a doc can influence your decision and helps convince the patient he is low...
He got signed on just like me.
I was 594 ng/dl T.T. and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic doc said it was not the level of a 25 year old....
HCG mono protocols from there on....
Came off them 4 years later and was still batting 582 ng/dl T.T.
Went back on the HCG mono protocol and T.T. level was 519 ng/dl....
doc said HCG is not working for you anymore....stay on it but I think it will do nothing for you...it's up to you what you want to do...
Only T injections will work he said.
I took 'em and today I'm screwed. I had very bad sleep apnea that sucked all my energy out of my system and never knew it.
I stayed off testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 16 months...could not get over 291 ng/dl T.T.
I was on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 2.5 yrs.

im well aware of it my man... that was not the issue... when i said its retarded to start testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at that level i said it more towards the doc making such a decision... its not like you guys went out and started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) on your own with a ugl lab.. u went to a professional

No problem 3J

As far as answering the question on long term effects of TRT...
Who knows??
One can certainly argue that the body was meant to slow down as we age....and is having "high normal" Testosterone safe????
I don't think so...
The way I see it T lifts your body's capabilities and you are able to move much more weight in the gym e.t.c.
Maybe it is too taxing on the nervous system?? if your body is always charged up and pushing...I'm sure the body wants some down time as well.

I've yet to see any studies indicating that having higher-end levels of testosterone are in any way dangerous to your health. I have however, seen MANY studies indicating that having low testosterone is indeed a life-threatening condition and is likely the root cause for many of the illnesses we see later in life. I do have an issue with the prostate scares we commonly see in this area; there is a VA study indicating that nearly 80% of ALL men will have prostate cancer sometime in their life by the time they're eighty years old. The reason why this is becoming such a topic of debate? Because we're actually living long enough to see the ill-effects of prostate cancer, not that it's something new and scary.

Watch your estradiol, eat properly, exercise, get frequent checkups, and donate blood. If you can keep up with that, you should live a healthy and long life as far as I'm concerned. Sure, there might be curve balls thrown at you by life, but being in peak condition (including proper test levels) will make them that much easier to deal with.

Ive been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 19 years and my doctor says I am the picture of perfect health. It is definetely worth anything that could happen to me to have the time with healthy levels.

No disrespect to any mods but I would have interpreted this comment as being called a retard. Ill probably be banned for even mentioning it. Oh well

I disagree. In my profession I deal with semantics on a daily basis. It is obvious 3J was referring to the situation, not the Op. Not to suck anyone's ass of course. :)

Take into account the environmental toxins as well....
Our ancestors had more Natty T than we do today...science said it has dropped 100 ng/dl....
I'm sure there was prostate cancer back then too...
Maybe the best bet is to remove the dog on thing after 65....
saves a lot of complications...

We've dropped more than that my friend. I saw one study that shows we've declined 100ng/dL in the last two DECADES alone! There is something going on in the environment, definitely makes me nervous for our future generations if we can't fix it. Yes, many cancers and other diseases have existed for quite a long time, we just never paid them mind as we would die from other complications long before.

Fluoride in the water...trace toxins in the water too like lead e.t.c.
Fluoride acts like an adjuvant to the trace chemicals in the water...
Monsanto Protection Act passed through congress allows them to increase the amount of herbicides (glyphosate) in the nations food supply.
GMO consumption is un natural too...
Hormones in the chicken people consume too...
what about the Thimerosal in the vaccines...

Ya seems like more and more kids in their late teens are having low t..without ever touching aas. Ive noticed that males are not growing as big or tall as what they used to. When I went into grade nine I was 5 foot 9. I was not tall most of my peers were my height or taller. Now grade nines are lucky to be 5 foot 3. They also look sooo much more immature than what I did at that age. A lot of people are noticing this. It is kinda mucked

LOL...
When I was in high School we had strong kids....
Good height, Good Muscle,
they looked very mature for their age. But this was 15 years ago...when I was a High School Senior.

Funny you mention that JT19...I work out with a bro at a University Gym sometime...and the kids there...looked like 19-23 looked decent for their age. One kid who was 20 y.o. I saw him do 4 sets of 225 lb bench presses 8 reps...
I don't remember doing that when I was 20....and I was working out tons too!
