Low Test at 24

I posted this in another section with not many hits to I will copy and paste it here any help will be greatly appreciated guys.

FIRST POST

I have now done 2 cycles one of Sustanon (sust) and one of test E both 14-16 weeks or so. I did more than the recommended time off in between. Obviously my sex drive was great during these cycles and I had sex with my wife all the time.

But before the first cycle and after each cycle I was thinking my test is low because of my decreased sex drive but not really any other symptoms.

So I went to the doctor and had blood work done and results came in today and say my test levels aren't normal. I don't have the exact levels yet cause I just got the letter and I have to go see the doctor for the actual results.

Now my questions are what are my options? I have read plenty and seen plenty of stuff so I know that prescribed test is probably an option but what else is there if anything. I am kind of concerned because I am only 24 and would like to conceive a child with my wife in the near future and we have been trying for a few months now with no success. How much lower could my sperm count go if I stayed on test?

SECOND POST
Got my results today from the nurse it came back at 190 so that's fucking crazy low especially for a 24 year old.

The doctor is very thorough and had me give more blood today for him to check the levels again and I guess some others too? I am not sure what else could be tested I'll find out hopefully next week since he didn't want me to have an appointment until he confirms everything.

I know that you can have low test and adequate sperm count and I will make sure I have the doctor address all this when I see him because we have been trying for a few months now.

Also if anyone has tried the gel that I have been reading about can you let me know how it went and how it worked for you cause I am pretty sure that will be the first thing he wants to try.

I read this again, and I'm not sure what the question is, or if this is even in the right forum. Are you wanting to know how to fix your hormones because you cycled?

There is a post in here about the testim/androgel, check it out.

You're not sure what my questions are?

You answered one and I did a search on the gel.

Questions are as follows pulled straight from my post.

1. Now my questions are what are my options?

2. How much lower could my sperm count go if I stayed on test?

3. The doctor is very thorough and had me give more blood today for him to check the levels again and I guess some others too? I am not sure what else could be tested?

4. Also if anyone has tried the gel that I have been reading about can you let me know how it went and how it worked for you cause I am pretty sure that will be the first thing he wants to try.

In number 4 I just wanted some testimonials and I did search and the general consensus is that it sucks.

Dude, I'm trying to help. I know that your frustrated, but I'm not the enemy here.
I really wasn't sure what you were asking. You want answers. Posting specific questions like you just did helps to get to your answers.

1) First find out why it's low. Was it your last cycle? Is it thyroid? Pituitary? nads? Maybe you can be restarted. I have no experience here.

2) really fucking low without HGC to keep your nads alive.

3) I'm stupid, I don't see any results other than T. SHBG, total E, e1,e2,e3, free test, lh, fsh, tsh, rbc. Those would help paint a better picture.

4) I have a close friend on the gel. 1 dose at first, all was good for a few months, now T is worse than when he started, so he's on 2 dose's. Very expensive, a lot of work.

I do wish you luck, sucks I know.

Gels are usually the first course of treatment for very good reason. There are inherent risks with frequent self-injections. Doctors and patients alike are hesitant to begin a life-long course of injections.

I tried a gel first and it didn't work well for me. That is why I started to seek out more options and landed here. Most people on web forums bash gels because it didn't work for them. Truthfully, the majority of guys that gels do work for simply quit searching for more options and don't end up on forums.

There is nothing wrong with trying a gel. Just get follow-up blood work to see how your body is responding and watch E2 carefully.

1. Your options are basically a SERM to try and restart your natural production (didn't work for me). Injections, Patches or Gels. Injections are the most cost effective route.

2. From what I've read it has the potential to put you in the "sterile" range. hCG helps keep this from happening. If you're really worry about, put some of your swimmers in a sperm bank for just in case measures.

3. already been answered by Frustrated1

4. I personally wouldn't use the gel. To me it just seems like a pain in the ass. For one you have to put it on every day and then say you want to have sex with your wife, guess what now you need to go wash that shit off before hand unless you want your wife to have a beard. I'm currently on patches but I also just got my labs back and my TSH was high where my T3 & T4 were normal, so now I have to figure how why I'm Hypothyroidal and treat that which may be why my T is low. I personally would rather do injections ANY day over gel or patches (if need be).

Awesome thanks for the replies guys!

Now I am going to do a little research on some of the things you mentioned but I'll ask anyway what are lh, fsh, tsh, rbc. I am assuming e1,2,3 are some sort of estro.

I will hopefully get the results of my second blood work back tomorrow and then I will make a doc appt to go over options causes treatments etc.
