I've been around the boards for quite some time, but this is the first time that i've felt the need to post and that I can contribute and offer up some good data that may help someone out.
I have been cycling for 4 years now and have zero problems with estrogen, I have run high test cycles with other compounds for long periods of time and not ever once had itchy nipples, but boy am I sensitive to prolactin!!!! I looooove progestin steroids, Tren is my bread and butter...but it makes me lactate like crazy.
I am probably one of the few people who has tried every solution for lowering prolactin and I would like to share with you my findings, as I feel there is ALOT of misinformation on the subject... especially regarding prami.
Here are a list of the methods I have tried, I will go over each in more detail.
- Pramipexole
- Bromocriptine
- T3 (cut off progesterone production at the thyroid)
- High dose B6
- Winstrol (Supposed anti progestin activity)
- Control Estrogen = Control Prolactin
- St Johns Wart
- Cabergoline
Pramipexole
This has got to be the worst substance I have EVER put in my body ever. period. In the forums there is alot of anecdotal evidence of what prami does and how wonderful a drug it is and people preaching to use it over all else... but straight up this couldnt be further from the truth.
IF you can handle the sides of prami first off you are a masochist but second probably still wasting your time. I ran it for 3 weeks and managed to get up to 1mg a day and it did jack s**t for me in terms of lowering prolactin.
Of every drug I've ever put in my body, prami has had the worst side effects bar none. Tren's supposedly horrible sides feel like a day at disney land compared to the pain and misery prami will bring into your life. Unfortunately, prami is the most readily available drug for lowering prolactin.
Don't waste your time on Prami. If you've bought some, chuck it in the garbage.
Prami Sides:
- Severe nausea
- Abdominal cramping
- Vomiting
- Living in a weird "Dream State" (best way to describe it)
- Feeling like a zombie, always in a haze
- Zero appetite
- Piss the color of Coke (this can't be good)
- Oddly enough strength went up but I didnt have enough energy to do more than a couple sets
Verdict - Waste of time
Bromocriptine
After giving prami a shot with no luck, I went to the walk in and told the doc Im just coming off a big tren cycle and I got milky nips. I squeezed my tits for him and he gave me a script for some bromo. Easy peasy.
I took bromo for 3 weeks and it reduced the majority of the soreness and lactation althogh there was still some. I believe I was taking 2.5mg twice daily?
So bromo works, It didnt work perfectly but I had bloods done and it got me down to slightly high range of normal within 2 weeks at a moderate dosage.
Bromo Sides:
- Extremely low blood pressure (im talking stand up and pass out)
- Head Aches
- Slight Nausea
Verdict - Good to go
T3
I have read in a few places that since progesterone is regulated by the thyroid, you can lower prolactin by controlling progesterone with exogenous t3.
All t3 did was get me ripped as hell haha. God I love T3 but it wont do a damn thing for prolactin.
Verdict - Bunk for this purpose
High dose B6
This was interesting, Supposedly high dose B6 lowers prolactin as effectively as Bromo. I picked up a couple vials at the drug store and ran 300mg twice daily for 2 weeks.
My nipples felt a little less sensitive after 2.5 weeks but still were lactating, so this did not work very well for me.
A few people have said high dose B6 has helped them (StoneCold is one I believe) but I may just be too sensitive to prolactin and didnt find it strong enough. For the price and availability though its worth a shot!
Verdict - Helps Slightly, worth a shot
Winstrol
People have said that Winstrol has anti progestenic properties but by adding winstrol to my cycle I perceived no change in prolactin side effects.
Verdict - Bunk for this purpose
Control Estrogen = Control Prolactin
This is a very common misconception. A few people have had very strong opinions that by controlling estrogen you will not suffer ANY progestogenic side effects. This is simply not true!! Although this may help, it will NOT fix the problem, Presence of Estrogen will aggravate prolactin but controlling estrogen will not eliminate prolactin.
If you are sensitive to prolactin you must control prolactin! (you should always control estrogen anyways though)
Verdict - Misconception
St John's Wart
This was just a waste of time. Dont bother!
Verdict - Bunk
Cabergoline
(Best for last)
Okay here we go. This is the HOLY GRAIL of ancilliaries for 19 nor steroids! Cabergoline is the ONLY thing that truly helped my prolactin problem, and it did it fast!
After 1 week (2 Doses of 500mcg) My prolactin is GONE. My nipples are no longer remotely sensitive, I have ZERO lactation, my nipples sit flat against my chest which is wonderful and I have the sex drive of a 12 year old boy. Im not kidding I get random woodys all the time and i've just been slamming my girl like its nobody's business, after months of a diminished sex drive.
Caber is STRONG and EFFECTIVE and has zero sides except for incredible sex drive and stronger orgasms.
This is what you need if you love to run Deca or Tren. Its not as easy to get a hold of and its its much more expensive but god damn its worth it!
Verdict - This is what you NEED!
So there you have it Gents. A comprehensive review of every popular solution for controlling prolactin. I know its long but I hope It may eventually be useful for one of you. I just wanted to give back some information to the community. If you have any questions etc. you can shoot me a PM.
