Missed 4 days

Hi, I haven't been able to workout until today after 4 days off. And I was wondering If this is going to have any negative effect on my gains. I have not missed working out this long in over a year. The reason I'm worried is because my workouts are already separated so much. Like chest/tri, legs/abs,rest, shoulder/forearms, back,bi, rest, cardio. <--thats my week and as you can see its already very spread out as it is.

So with that plus 4 days of nothing will that take me any steps back in progress? Am I just paranoid?

Dont make it a habit and also when that does happen make sure you eat enough and take in a few extra cals, bcaas, glutamine and what not so your not as sore.

You will be fine bro, our bodies need rest and you stated that you haven't taken this long off in over a year. I think you did yourself a favor. I try to take a week off every six months or so. Granted, I don't just lay around the house and quit eating and shit, but a little rest from the iron is needed from time to time. Others might not agree, but it works for me. You have a phobia of being away from the gym and it's not a bad phobia to have, but lighten up a little, you won't wither away over 4 days.

You're fine bro. Obviously don't do it frequently but at my peak I would take a week of every few months and called it my "grow week" it seemed to help out a lot especially if you are pushing heavy weights because it allows everything to repair. Get extra sleep and keep your food intake high. I would always come back stronger off one of these weeks so it was good for me @ the time.

^^^ agreed. A little time off every few months can be good. Give your body a chance to reset, it's also a good time to switch up your routine a bit, throw in some new exercises

I take a week off about every 4-5 months when I travel for work. The weeks I return are always the best. More energy, more weight... Those are the best weeks of the year, IMO.
