More bumps, more questions and a few answers: Quad injections

Thursday I did my left quad. Friday I had no pain. Saturday I had no pain, very happy. Sunday I felt some pain but it was about 2 inches away from injection site (I injected on the outside and the pain seemed to be on the middle/top side) but nothing as far as a bump or anything else. Monday the same. Tuesday a bit of a bump. Now it's Wednesday and there's a big bump. It's sore and a bit squishy but not redness, not itchy. Went to a big hospital thinking I could get it looked at, see if they could figure out why things were happening that way, give me a better idea of injection sites etc. They were of no help since the hospital went into ER mode, meaning all doctors went home and the few that were on call were not specialists for this particular problem.

I rushed home to see if the dermatologist could help me out. It would be a dermatologist or orthopedic doc that would know best I would imagine.

His opinion: You've got too much fat and not a long enough needle to know 100 percent sure you're getting the oil into the muscle around your quads. You're probably passing through the dermis and getting close to the muscle but injecting more into fat. One day you hit the muscle, another day you don't. No pain will occur in the first few days which is why there's a delay. You're being sterile otherwise you'd have an abscess and you don't have one. It's as though the oil has gotten itself stuck there between the fat and muscle and cause irritation and it will simply take time for it to go away. I don't recommend you hit your quads anymore unless you can get a longer needle (Longer than 1 inch). Get your wife to push down on you glute near the top corners for now if you need another injection site until the granulations are gone (The hard stuff left in my quads.). No need for antibiotics or painkillers (Unless I want the painkillers, but Japanese painkillers are a joke). Delts and 1 inch needles and you're definitely OK (And so far my delts have been a none issue except when I tried using a slin to inject).

Does this make any sense to anyone here? For now I'll be doing delts and getting my wife to do glutes until my quads are fully healed and I get a longer set of needles. I'm glad that it's not the medicine itself and everything is sterile.
