Originally in every college class I ever had it was stated that the gene was carried by the moms side of the family. Unless you have your DNA tested for the gene, which I doubt will happen, then you can't tell until it starts to thin.
But if you have the gene, it's going to go, until someone finds a way to stop it but of course out med companies won't want to cure something so they would force you to buy some expensive pill every month. But you can use topical minoxidil foam, ploysorbate 80 supposedly is better and will regroup hair in frontal lobes but FDA banned it from being marketed for this, you can also use Nizoral shampoo, and copper peptide seems to help. There is a research chem being developed that is said to be the next best thing
AAS use can speed up the process a lot, but keep test doses low, and use AAS that aren't hard on the hair, things like finasteride works very well but can have some very negative sides.
Honestly if you are prone, it's going to happen, sorry to rain on your parade. My woman hates bald men, I always kept my hair short, had some thinning but shaved it for the hell of it and she loves it, but apparently my head is shaped well for it, and if you get to the point where all you have is a strip on the sides and back, LET IT GO, it's not appealing to anyone.
