well on 2 extremes you have say...chris cook vs dave palumbo. Opposite ends of the muscle maturity spectrum I suppose you could say. (not that i think palumbo looks good)
its the look the muscle has under the skin, older guys have more matured, muscle while younger guys tend to have more smooth baby muscle. Im just generalizing but they are talkin bout the look.
to me PART of muscle maturity is thickness , i see a lot of young guys with wide well defined shoulders and a killer v but turn them sideways and they are paper thin compared to a older/seasoned lifter with the same general build .

men dont reach physical maturity till mid to late thirties. ronnie coleman is 40 and bigger and thicker than ever. a lot of the top plers are 40ish. chucky v 40, goggins 41, coan 41, frank 40, etc....
