muscle pain

Hey, had a great workout on sunday but my muscles are quite sore, not too bad but i can feel it! Dont usually feel pain as intense as this after gym.

I was just wondering if its best to take another day before going back to gym or is it ok to go now? There seems to be a lot of different answers to this, some saying "rest for 48 hours", "could cause injury", "would be pointless" etc.

What do you guys do?

normally, muscle fibers take 48 hours to repair. however, they can still be sore after that which could hinder your intensity as well as cause to alter your movements in an attempt not to induce pain in the area. Personally I would wait until I felt like I could go in there and give it 100% (no soreness).
