How does my blood work look? Doc prescribed me androgel. Giving this a shot for 2 months for more stable levels before going injection route.

Look as far as what specifically? All the out of range #'s are indicated. How do you feel about the gel? For some it is very successful so you may end up not even needing to go the injection route. Ill tell you what if it works and works well for you the gel is a godsend.

just seeing if high cholesterol, being pre-diabetic, or any of those in bold can be the root of low t. I hope the gels work too man. I think it will.

From what I've read, getting your T levels fixed will help lower the A1C and cholesterol. My experience is that is lowered my A1C. I was pre-diabetic also and getting on TRT lowered it one full point (from 6.0 to 5.0). My cholesterol went from 151 to 137 but that's not significant since it was already low.

your cholesterol is fine. if you can get ldl below 100 it would obv be better but 120's is not gonna kill you. and 53 is decent for hdl. not great but decent. blood glucose is high though. i don't know about the correlation between test levels and a1c, but hopefully it helps. did you fast before this blood test?

Most guys don't have stable testosterone levels using gel for TRT, but like Jimi said, it might work for you. If you have problems you can always switch over to injections. Most of us are on injections. They are often more effective and a whole lot cheaper.

Have you looked into your high lipase. That is pointing towards a pancreas issue. Don't neglect that. It isn't the cause of your low T though.

Looks like you have secondary hypogonadism. Did you doc recommend and MRI of you pituitary gland? Probably fine, but for peace of mind it might be worth checking.

yes sir, fasted. didn't want anything hindering results.

I have a good feeling about the gel. The worst that can happen is it doesn't work out. But I'll never know unless I try.

He wanted to do a MRI, but he says since fsh/lh/prolactin are good then there is no need.

the lipase is an ongoing issue. to be short, docs are spinning me around. Lipase was high enough one time to be diagnosed with pancreatitis. CT scan denied it however. Followed up a couple weeks later, lipase still high but not as high. I think it was in the 100's. Now a month later it is in the 70's. I'm going to follow up again with my doc to get a damn answer.

I've heard that guys with lowish SHBG dont really do well on the gel due to aromatzing it more easily to estradiol.
Try it.
If it doesn't work try E3D or E4D T injections.

Wow 29 years old and leaning toward primary hypogonadal. How did this come about?
Any past AAS use?

No way Jose. I did get hit in the head pretty bad throughout my life, but pituitary would be off wouldn't it? Causing lh and Fsh to be low. I did get a booster shot of 200 mg enanthate awhile back but it gave me a huuuuuuge rush within an hour I would say.

I wasn't expecting anything.

I was doing reading on sbgh. From what I read, according to labcorp ranges, mine is the preferable range. You has me doubting androgel lol. I have dry skin so I think my body is gonna soak it up like a sponge.

Oh also, what is two pumps daily equivalent to against injections?

Your pituitary hormones are in mid range.
I had same TT levels as you but LH was 3 & FSH was 2.
Thats why my body responds to HCG.

There is no way to predict this for you. Everyone responds differently to gels and even injections.

Good luck! Keep an eye on your estradiol and donate blood regularly to keep your hematocrit from getting too high.

Also keep in mind that over time men often get diminishing returns from gels.

I took Androgel for about 9 months before switching to AndroForte. It took four pumps/day to get my T levels in the low 500 but everyone absorbs the stuff a little differently. Androgel worked fine it was just too costly. IMO gels work far better than shots. Blood T levels are much more stable on gels. Some people just don't like the hassle of transdermals.
