Ive been trying to come up with a good weight gainer type shake thats somewhat cheap and very effective. Its somewhat of a lose recipe seeing as im not on a strict diet, my goal is to get approx 50g protein, 75g carbs in 3 seperate shakes, then just eat whatever I feel like other than that. The shakes will contain very low sugar.

3 servings cheerios looked into generic brands anything with approx 25g carbs 1-3g sugar would do.
2 scoops protein approx 20g each
Any kind of milk
At times Ive also thrown in peanut butter instead of protein powder.

You have to drink it quickly but youd be suprised how fast a liquified bowl of cheerios goes down. I dont make any of it very exact due to just going for pure mass. Lets hear your thoughts.

do you own a blender?? and quick cooking OATS???
1 cup oatmael
2 tbls PB
2 scoops of your potien
2 cups whoel of FF milk

much better than cheerio's IMO...

have a deep hatred for oats and oatmeal, nutritiondata.com shows info for practically every food and they are real close, sacrifice a few carbs for a ton of vitamins with the cheerios.

Real straight oats blow cheerios away. But quick oats are hardly any difference, go to plain oats and go to quaker quick oats nutrition facts.

neat site but the one thing i didnt see was glycemic indexes of the food..and i'm sure that quacker quick oats blows cheerios out in that catagory...but your right the listed "nutritional" values are close...but the glycemic index is were it is at for carbs..IMO

hmm...wouldnt have guessed that
yea it's pretty nutritionally sounds on paper next to oatmeal, my concern is the GI level..but if that is not a concern for some one then it is a pretty good trade off..on paper...
