my leg press video

Good on you Phil. That looked a like a fair bit weight. How much was it exactly?

I notice a lot of people do leg press with their feet less than shoulder width apart, just as you did Phil (I notice Ronnie Coleman does them the same way so you're in good company). I find that if I don't keep my feet at least more than shoulder width, my nads get painfully crushed.

I also notice that people don't go all the way down. I was taught to bring the weight down so that my knees were almost touching my shoulders (whilst still keeping my backside firmly on the seat). It gives a great stretch to the hamstrings and glutes.

The most I've ever done is 330 and that was for one rep.

I once saw a formula for relating leg press weights to approximate squat weights. Has anyone seen the same thing? Can the two exercises be anything more than generally related?

If I keep my legs that narrow it kills my knees.

Leg press has almost no relatable proportion to free squats because the plane of movement on a leg press is set and squats are obviously not.

i sometimes work close together and sometimes i work my legs wide apart. I have about 4-5 variations i use to keep feeding the muscle differently
