Natural 38 years - Looking for Recommendations on my 3rd AAS cycle

Just joined and am looking to stick around a while.

My Story:

Stats: 39, 5' 9", 225, 14% BF (DEXA scan so it's legit). I have served in the military in a physically demanding job for 20 years. I have trained more than 20 years and lift heavy with an emphasis on Olympic lifts and high intensity strength training. I am not a stranger to pumping pig and get after it every week. I also am required to run - I hate it, but it's part of the job. My diet is pretty clean. I am paleo more or less, but not dogmatic about it. I drink a couple beers on the weekend and enjoy a good meal out once a week or so.

Up until last year I was natural. I was pretty strong and at 38 years old benched 365, squatted 450, deaded 500, cleaned 275, and could run 3 miles in 24 minutes. I started to feel run down and physically more tired than usual about a year ago. I would not recover as quickly as was normal for me and I was especially sore after hard work outs. Initially I attributed it to 10+ years of constant deployments - I have been going pretty much non stop since the wars kicked off and the body has taken a beating. In spite of that, I was always able to work at a very high level with guys 10-15 years younger than me and excel. Many of my friends use aas, but I never felt the need to go down that road until recently. In my line of work your reputation is based in large part on what kind of shape you are in and if you can pull your weight. I started to feel like I was sliding backward and diet, rest, sleep, and solid programming were not helping to the extent they should have.

Long story short I felt I needed some "help" to keep my fitness where it needed to be and decided to run a cycle. I did some research and ran this cycle - it is pretty conservative by most standards. The goals were: 1. Feel good 2. Gain strength 3. Drop some BF 4. Not compromise being able to run at a reasonable pace.

Jan-May 2013
1-14 Test e 250mg ew
10-16 Winstrol 50mg ed
PCT 17-19 Chlomid/Nolva 100,50,50/40,20,20 ed
I had some Arimidex on hand but never used it.

I had some nice strength gains and dropped some BF. Other than some aches in my joints from the Winstrol, I did not experience any sides. I really enjoyed the cycle and decided to get a bit more aggressive with the second. I waited 12 weeks and started this:

Sep13-Jan14
1-16 Test E 500mg ew
1-14 EQ 600mg ew
12-18 Anavar 60mg ed
PCT 19-21 same as above

Once again I experienced strength gains and got down to 12% BF (DEXA scan) at 220. Benched 405, squatted 500, deaded 575, and cleaned 315. The strongest and leanest I have ever been. Unfortunately the running took a major hit when I started the Anavar. I stayed on it to see what it would do and was not disappointed with the fat loss. With that said, I am not going to run it again because it kills my cardio. The EQ did not make me any more hungry...

So I am sold on aas. Basically now I am looking for EXPERIENCED recommendations on my third cycle in June with the goal to continue cycling for the foreseeable future in a responsible manner. The goals remain the same: 1. Feel good 2. Gain strength 3. Drop some BF 4. Not compromise being able to run at a reasonable pace. I have been running BP gear. Cost of cycle is not a concern. I am open to any all compounds so long as the meet my intent and I can get ahold of them. Looking to incorporate HCG into the cycle to help with recovery. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for answering - TRT is definitely something I would consider once I am out of the service. I got my T checked before I started cycling and was sitting at about 700 - from what I understand that is a pretty decent number for someone my age. I also had full blood work done as well and there were no issues.

The reality is that I have maybe 4-5 years left before I retire. I like the idea of going on and off for the time being as opposed to be on continually.

Those numbers are nothing to be concerned about at your age ;)

The whole not recovering like you used to etc comes with age, it's to be expected. Sure enough though your T levels will only decline from here onwards, TRT is something you want to put off if you don't need it yet, that is if you don't mind dialing in initallially, bloodwork, injecting etc

Keep in mind, cycling will most likely lower your test over time so the inevitable (TRT) will most likely come sooner. See where you are at in 5 years time when you retire, until then cycle away!

Also I see no mention of hCG? I would look at adding it in around 500iu a week, if not then at the least around the time when you drop the EQ and right up until PCT. You will most likely need that adex btw with that much test and EQ.. a good starting point would be .25 EOD. I'd get bloodwork midcycle to see where you're at and adjust from there.
