need a gym

hey guys/gals any of you know any good gym locators online or better yet know any good gyms in portland or, i just moved here and am having a hard tme finding a gym besides some lil rinky dink thing attached to a movie store down the street from me. anything u guys could offer up would be appreciated. and no i dont have a phone book yet, just throughin that out there b4 any one suggests it. and the people i work with arent the gym type if you know what i mean. thanks in advance.

So what does it take for a gym to make it to this list? Well...

• It should have more benches than elliptical walkers

• You don't have the option of "renting" towels at the front desk

• The owner is more concerned with keeping the machines oiled than the floor spotless

• Personal trainers in matching uniforms aren't part of the scenery

• The owner didn't open the gym to get rich

"This gym has been in this location for a good 50 years and is worth seeing if for no other reason than all the signed bodybuilding pictures on the wall. John Grimek, Steve Reeves to name a few, and of course it was owned for years by the great Loprinzi family.

Talk about a classic! We give the late, great Sam Loprinzi's place four dumbbells!
