New blood work - what now?

A few months ago my free testosterone came back at 8 (ref range 9 - 30), total T was about 500 (ref range 300 - 1000) and SHBG was at 36 (ref range 17-77). After further investigation, I found out that my thyroid wasn't functioning very well and my TSH value was at 4.3 (ref range: 0.5 - 2).

So I got prescribed levothyroxine (50mg), took that daily and did a new test after 7 weeks.

My tests now came back like this:

Free Testosterone: 23 (ref range: 8 - 30)
SHBG: 65 (ref range: 10-80)
T3 Free: 5.4 (ref range: 3.6 - 6.3)
T4 Free: 20 (ref range: 12 - 22)
TSH: 2.5 (ref range: 0.4 - 3.7)

My Prolactin also seems to be down a little bit, although this lab uses different measurements so I can't really say.

Anyway, seems like the levothyroxine has magically tripled my free testosterone. Unfortunately they didn't test total testosterone,
but the important thing is the free T anyway, right? I feel much better too by the way. I'm hungrier than before and I have my libido back.

My question is now, should I increase the dosage of Levothyroxine (T4)? I should have my TSH below 1, so I still got a way to go.
But at the same time, my T4 value is almost at the upper limit so I'm thinking going over it might be dangerous?

So basically, should I...?

a.) Raise the dosage to say, 75mg a day?
b.) Change medication? (And if so, to what medication?)

I do not have a doctor involved in this, it is all done by myself (although I got these latest tests in Sweden by basically ordering my
doctor on what kind of tests to give me...but she didn't actually have any knowledge about anything).

Nobody has a clue?

Guess I'll have to see an endocrinologist. It might take a few months before I can get an appointment though,
which is really horrible.

You should be working with a doctor on this. You should be keeping an eye on your Total Testosterone, LH, FSH, Estradiol, CBC and Meta-bolic Profile too. Make sure the proper blood work gets ordered.

I would be careful about upping your T4 dose at this point. It takes time for T4 to take full effect. It isn't like taking T3. If you are feeling better stay on your current dose a while longer and see if your blood work results stabilize. Then reassess your dosage.
