New to Forum, Curious About Test

So, like so many others this is all new to me. I've worked out on and off most of my life to no avail. However, three years ago I decided I was tired of being fat. Over the course of about 16 months I dropped 85 lbs. At the same time, I started working out and have been faithfully doing so for three years now. Even with an even balance of cardio and resistance training (guilty of leaning the way of resistance) I've not experienced the gains I would have thought, not even close. So, with that in mind, being tired and not exactly bursting full of energy, I paid my dr. a visit. (not to mention, the occasional erectile dysfunction) I let him know that I had done two cycles of a "pro-hormone" (not sure if I'm allowed to mention names here, so I wont) Doctor ran some blood work, my Test levels came back really low. 260 on the blood test, and I believe my free testosterone was 9 or 11, both of which he said was unusually low for someone my age (I'm 34) and my activity level.

I'm currently 195 lbs, 6'0'' (still have some trimming to do)

While on the pro-hormone the most I was ever able to put up on the flat bench was 215, one time. That was 8 months ago, and since being off my max of one would be 200.

He has prescribed me one shot of 100mg of Enanthate once a week. From what I have read on here and so many other sites that's not going to do much.

I guess I'm just asking for some advice. I eat clean and lift religiously. I have no clue how to get more of anything and I'm not asking. Just curious if there is anything else I can do or even convince the doc to up my dosage? Any help is appreciated.

That's a tough one bro. Because u could tell him after say 4-5 wks that u feel the exact same and to up your dose. But if he draws your blood and your test levels are within normal range, then it's basically his discretion based on what symptoms you tell him you're still having. All I can say is give it a try...or go another route....in which you're in the right place! Only saying that because realistically, say he doubles your dose to 200mg/wk. It's better, yes, but still not gonna do much. Also depends on what your trying to get out of it. Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose.

100mg a week is about normal for a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose of test and after 5-6 weeks when the test builds up in your system your test blood levels will probablly at least double. remember hes not prescribing a cycle , hes prescribing a medicinal dose of hormones. you should experience a noticeable increase in quality of life imo.

Thanks to all above, for replying. My current Rx is a vile of 2000mg with another refill, yielding another 2000mg.
I was thinking that once this becomes steady and my blood work is a little more spaced out, taking the 4000mg and formulating a 10 wk cycle. Any thoughts?

Obvious I'm looking strength and size gains. Knowing that I'm not going to become the Hulk, but would definitely would like it to at least appear that I work out.

I would keep doing what the Dr. has you doing while looking for an outside source. Then go on a decent 12-14 week cycle while hoarding all the scrip.

Just run what the doc prescribes. Do some research around here and find a good ugl and run yourself a nice cycle on top of your trt.

Hey, thanks everyone. Not sure how I'll "combat" this situation.
If I come up with something, I'll repost and surely ask for
Suggestions!!!
