New workout and I feel like trash

I decided to try a different workout today after being a little frustrated. In January I was weighing 230lbs at 6'4". I decided it was time to cut and since then I have gotten down to 201lbs and I figured I would be pretty lean by then but I still have very little definition. At 230lbs I could do the 120's on dumbbell press on the last two sets at 8 reps(I couldn't get the 130's up). At 203lbs I could do it 8 reps and then 6 reps with the same weight on my last two sets, so I don't feel like I'm losing a lot of muscle mass. I do long rests between sets.

So I was doing a little reading and read some about sarcoplasmic workouts and I did only the 90's today 5 sets at 12, 11, 8, 6 and 6 reps with like 1 min worth of rest. I did this same basic routine with my other exercises too. I have never gotten closer to throwing up during a workout in my life.

I plan on doing the same workout for legs tomorrow but I am wondering if this workout is worth it. I want more cross sectional area to my muscles. I know it won't give me any more definition gaining the mass but I feel like my muscles are really small and adding the mass will look better when I do get rid of the fat.
