It seems that I need to eat right before bed or my body is starving through the night...I'm okay with some carbs for my "bedtime" meal. Sometimes I''ll dump a package of instant oatmeal in to a protein shake. I get tired of eating the same things all the time so I'm always trying different things. I tend to eat the same things for a few weeks until I totally burn out on them.
Some other late night meals I eat are pb and celery, lean beef (usually cold and left over from a previous dinner), plain yogurt w/ a small portion of fruit, sharp cheddar cheese w/ Tobasco Sauce and Lemon Pepper on it (one of my favorites), heated tortilla w/ natural pb, handful of beef jerky, cottage cheese w/ small portion of fruit, pork rinds (yeah I know what you are thinking but read the label, they are actually high in protein, low carbs, and a relatively clean thing to eat), package of lunchmeat, hardboiled eggs lightly salted or with tobasco sauce, blenderized nonfat milk w/ natural pb,...etc...
A good way for me to "spice up" the ordinarily somewhat bland diet is to use sauces like Tobassco, Topatio, etc... a few drops can liven up some pretty tastless food items.
