No pump

I train with reps in the 8 range and I know you need to go to 12 or 15 to get a good pump and that this is not conducive to muscle growth but after I train my biceps or anything else for that matter the muscle actually shrinks instead of a post exercise pump. I have enough carbs in my diet and I am taking creatine and drinking plenty of water. What could be the reason? I am taking Avodart but I am not sure on the effects of DHT on muscle cells etc. Any ideas?

The pump really doesn't mean shit. It really has no correlation with muscle growth that i am aware of. If you are getting bigger and stronger don't worry about it.

you dont need 12-15 anything to get a good pump...if you are constantly doing this, you may be overtraing which will deteroriate or hinder muscle growth...go up in weight and dont worry about the reps...i get a good pump from heavier weights, and less reps...also, it depends on what you are training for....and how yopu train..i dont think diet contributes to "the pump" so much anyhow, unless you eat like 10 whoppers with cheese, and your belly will get a hell of a pump....

ya i said it once and i say it again the pump don't mean shit when u r training. If you a really that fixed on getting it then do high reps. It might be your form that makes you don;t feel a pump. Ie) swinging when doing curls taking the fulcrom(sP?) off the biceps and putting more on the lower back.

ditto to the above

I know pump has nothing to do with growth, I just found it starnge regardless of what I do I get none. Oh well. I will be getting a real good pump pretty soon anyway

I never got a pump...I mean ever until I tried gear. Now, I get a pump whenever.

I can honestly say I am a better person because of gear, lol.

I've never heard of not getting a pump whan training, regardless of the rep scheme, if you're doing it right. Poor form is the only reason that I can think of that it's not happening. Weird.
