Nolvadex

Most of the other forums say use Nolvadex while on cycle all the way throughout using 10 mg but in some of the stickies here it says use nolvadex for post cycle therapy (pct). I was wondering which way is best?

Nolvadex during the cycle itself is for gyno prevention, while Nolvadex after the cycle (PCT), is for HPTA recovery......two very different uses, not to be confused with one another.

Nolva does VERY LITTLE, if anything for water retention.

Water retention is best addressed using an Aromatase Inhibitor (AI), like Arimidex, Femara, or Aromasin.


As for mood swings PCT, sometimes "yes", sometimes "no".

letrozole or armidex is what you want while on cycle

Letrozol is femera, which is an anti-estrogen.

Femara is 10-30x more effective than Arimidex in it's ability to pass thru the cell membrane of lipid (fat) cells and inhibit the activity of aromatase -- in other words, Femara is far superior in lowering estrogen levels in fat cells. This has two benefits for BBs; (1) Estrogen 'attracts' water, so less water retention (2) an average male BB is around 10%BF, that's a lot of lipid cells with aromatase inside them, so a substantial percentage of aromatase is left untouched by Arimidex due to it's poor ability to enter lipid cells Arimidex is approximately 80% effective at inhibiting aromatase, Femara is around 95-97%

Not unless you are having E related problems. I wouldn't recommend taking any Aromatase inhibitor (AI) just for the hell of it.

Nolvadex also helps in another very important area if taken daily on cycle, lipid profiles. Using test or several other androgenic Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) negatively effects your lipid profiles(HDL/LDL). In laymans terms, good and bad cholesteral. Nolvadex counteracts this and helps keep these values in check. Might not mean much to you younger users yet, but you will worry about it when you are older!

My point is, contrary to what some will have you believe, an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) is not always needed, nor recommended.
