Howdy folks, yes I'm new. But have been reading lots and lots. I'm a meathead, and have been training hard and silly for years.
Finally after all the years of athletics, blah blah, I held an experiment with Ostarine.
It's very interesting stuff. First of all, there was a dramatic strength increase in a short amount of time. Within 2 weeks, for example, there were simply mind-blowing gains in strength.
Such as: squatting 315 for 4-6 reps, several sets. Repping out like crazy at 275. Mind you this is weighing 146 with about 19% BF at that time.
Then there are muscularity gains. Never seen before pec definition, quad growth, wiiiiide back (I mean, holy hell!). Rounded out delts. All good stuff!
Fast forward to prepping for a show and bodyfat went from 19+ to 16 in about 4 weeks, lean mass from 120 pounds to 123.5. It was a 9 pound drop in bodyfat.
Now it's roughly 7 weeks out from show and the strength has not changed. Yesterday's workout included strict pressed (militaries) with 30's as a part of the superset and just kept going and going, repeat.
It's about time to stop the experiment, rolling in at 8 weeks.
First time experimenter, with a great result. Although the experiment still makes me nervous.
Also 7 weeks to show, eek! 12 more to cut in order to make it on time, not sure how to feel about that. We'll see.
Thank you all!
