plyometrics?

i dont.just want to know more about it.i was also wondering if speed work like speed bench,squat,deads were a sort of plyo.seeimg as plyo helps explosiveness.
 
one of the female mods on this board knows a shit load about plyos. i can't remember who it was, check the female forum, it may have been a sticky
 
plyometrics are a great addition to any work out routine. in fact in a lot of eastern eurpean gyms alot of the regimine is superseted with plyo's. like squats with box jumps, bench press with plyo push-ups. not just for cardio, but as a conditioning, strength and agility aid for overall training. the benifits are great- more explosive power, flexibility,ROM, speed, VO2 max increaces- alot of benifits. i reccomend them to everyone. one of my favorite workouts involves squats followed by lateral partner jumps to another set of squats to 20 yard bounds ,repeat. killer intensity.
