I received my watch today in the mail, won it on Ebay.
Goal: For now my goal is to improve endurance, lose fat and strengthen heart (improve cardiovascular fitness).
I want to do all this without losing any size (muscle) or strength.
Appearance- There is a lot of these watches out there and most them are ugly as hell. This is the first one where I like the design, hence why i decided to get one. Im too vain to wear something that doesn't look good on me.
Feel- I read some reviews online before i bought the watch. Some of the reviewer's did not like the feel of the watch, they said it was uncomfortable. I do not find it any more uncomfortable than any other watch, feels fine to me.
Display- Some of the reviews online mentioned the display was not well lit and hard to see. It is not a well lit display but it s not hard to see at all. There is a light button as well that turns on the light for a couple seconds.
The heart monitor strap i have is a m-xxl. well let me just tell you it barely fits me, even when adjusted to the furthest setting.
Once you turn the watch on for the first time you can not turn it off, and once turned on it can not be returned. The battery is suppose to last 10 months, once its dead you have to send it in to get a new battery.
I went through the time and date settings, and then height/weight/age. Then it ask me how many hours a week i train 1-3 or 5+ and i chose 5+.
The first thing I did with it was perform the fitness test. My resting heart rate was right around 66-68. To perform the fitness test you put on your monitor, then lay and relax for 3 minutes. Then start the test. I did this laying in bed. Once you start the test it takes about 5 minutes. Once it beeps it spits out a number. My number was 43. For my age that put me on "very good" which was one level away from the top of "elite".
Now that i have my fitness level saved it asks me if i want to "improve" or "maximize" fitness. I chose "maximize".
Once that is finished it gives you a goal, my goal is 7hrs and 5900 cals. I was like WTF? 5900 cals really? seems like a shitload to me.
what do you guys think? 5900 cals?
