Post training Meal

I know this should prolly be in the supp forum but wanted to hear what you guys think is the optimal post workout shake or meal..assuming your shooting for lean mass..ive been using this:
10 oz grape juice
10g creatine
1 cup oats
3 scoops whey+69g pro
400mg r-ala
xtra glutamine
115 g of carbs
69 pro
6 g fat
i follow this up with whole food about 1.5- 2 hours later
 
I think I would ditch the oats to make sure you get a good insulin spike. The fiber will slow that down.

You could add a little salt to it to help with the creatine utilization if you want (and to probably restore some lost stuff from your sweat).

Otherwise it looks good.
 
my PWO shake is 150g of carbs, 100g protein and 10g creatine. then eat about the same ratio of food couple of hours later.

i have some slin but havent treid it yet PWO. i may before its over with jes to see what happens. a bunch of the guys from my gym using it and luvin it. they all juiced as well. =0)
 
I like:

80 grams protein
50-100g Dextrose
Creatine
+ Some type of slow burning carb (potato, oatmeal). I find this keep me from crashing after the PWO meal. If I only take in the dextrose I feel like shit after the big spike, but the potatoe or oatmeal will keep this from happening.

i noticed the same thing especially when taking the r-ala..feel as if i havent eaten carbs in days

Then maybe eat the oats 15 minutes later to help with that while making sure your shake hits your intenstine quickly.
 
Immediately after my last set I go to my gym bag and reach for my shake. This consists of :-
50 g Whey protein
80 g Dextrose powder
1 Banana

One hour later I have a meal of 40 - 50 g Protein and the same carbs.
