Please help me with my Post Workout Meal

I need to know how to handle this

I am 5-9, 220
finishing up a cycle of sust 500mgs, deca 400mgs, hgh 4 ius/day, and Winstrol (winny) 50 mgs ED.

I had a foot injury so cardio has not been an option on this cycle. As you can imagine I have a little extra bloat going on. Now that the foot is better I started cardio 5 days a week right after the weights. I get to the gym at 6 and finish about 8:00 including the cardio.

NOW they have this smoothie bar with all these drinks and content info. Some high in carbs and some high in proteina and some both. I think they have WAYYYY more sugar than they tell you. I was told that after weight training you should have a high GI carb to create that insulin spike and deliver the protein to your muscles faster. I'm not sure that works and on top of that the drink this morning was so sweet it fuckin burned my throat.

I drank it but as I was drinking it I had that "feeling" that this was not good for me. You know what I mean. It's when you taste something and you can tell right away that it's not clean but you were told that it was. Also today I worked out on an empty stomach and my lifting strength was not the same.

Please post advice on the post workout meal. I need help in this area.

Thanks

PWO shake is made of whey protein and dextrose (or dextrose and maltodextrin).

About 40 gr whey, 40 gr dextrose and 40 gr maltodextrine. Mix all this with water.

If you take creatine, you can add it to this shake.

I think you are saying to mix all that myself? In other words I should buy those ingredients and mix them myself? What about the insulin spike that is desired after a workout?

Yes, you need to buy them and mix them yourself. It'll save you a lot of $ in the long run. The Dextrose/Malto will cause the insulin spike you're looking for.

This is not meant as a flame at all, I'm just curious why you would be on cycle if you had to ask this type of question?

Fair Question

No worries man. I would have asked the same thing. I look strong but I've never really been what anyone here would call shredded in my life. I've never felt the need really. But now I am building a house on a lake and would like to get as lean as possible. My knowledge is more on lifting, cycling, bulking, etc. I just want some guidance on the subject of the simple sugar/insulin spike concept. I am not a chemist so I ask questions.

Diet is solid the rest of the day just need help with the PWO meal.

Question:
I went down to our local health store and they had soy protein isolate in a 5 lb bag. Just the protein powder alone. I asked if they had dextrose or maltodextrin and the answer was no but they DID have bags of fructose.
I didn't buy it because I wanted to check here first. Would Fructose work okay? Also- what about all the nutients that are already added to the just add water brands? Obviously I'd be missing those things but I suppose I could add creatine and flax to it. I already take a strong ass multi every day. Thanks for the help

as far as I know whey is better than soy, plus its digested faster, so youd want whey pwo anyway.

if you need malto and dex, the place in my sig sells it.

if your eating veggies, taking a multi, and getting enough protein, youll be getting all the vitamin, minerals, and aminos you need.

and yes, about the creatine, i dont know of any protein that has creatine already in it. Im pretty sure muscletech puts creatine in their Nitro-tech and whatever their MRPs are, but id much rather throw 2-3g of CEE in my PWO shake myself.

This is what I found, it has both in it. Is this the better way to go?
