Posts waiting for moderator approval.

Posted in a couple threads, and noticed my reply didn't post, and there was a message that said something to the effect of, " your reply will not be shown until it has been approved by a moderator",
Didn't notice this in my first posts (though it may have happened), is this standard for newer posters?

It may do that if you are logged in through a proxy server.....

I posted at the new member section and was not moderated. I am not sure on this new comments if it will be awaiting moderation as well.
